We understanding that this is an emotional, physical and spiritual milestone in your life and we’re here to bring the doula effect. What is the doula effect? Studies have shown that having continuous support during labor and postpartum improves the experience in many ways.
Shorter labor, less pain medications needed, fewer interventions, an improved satisfaction, less postpartum mood disorders and sleep deprivation. This effect has not been duplicated with nurses, midwives or therapists.

Tiya has always had a passion for helping women and a love for all things birth and babies. When she discovered the blessing that is a doula she knew this is what she wanted to do.
Her journey here however wasn’t linear, growing up in Barbados she served family and friends often living in to help take care of their little ones out of pure love and spending the summers volunteering at a day care.
In 2018, she left the dream behind and pursued her bachelors degree in Business Administration and Environmental Science but just did not feel fulfilled or fairly compensated. After graduating in 2022 she pursued a change to trading and investing where she found great success.
In 2023, as if by divine fate she stumbled upon the wonderful world of doulas and became certified and worked as some of Tampa’s favorite doula agencies.
Its her client list grew to where she could no longer do it on her own in 2025, Little Gifts Doula Co was born. With her 12 years of experience, Tiya wanted to see a more holistic and comprehensive care and wanted to encourage more christians in the birthing world. Though not a mom yet, Tiya is praised for her unbiased expertise and loving care.
Tiya believes children are a gift from God and it is this belief fueled by her christian faith that birth Little Gifts Doula Co.
When Tiya is not supporting mamas and swaddling babies you can find me: gardening, traveling, sipping matcha, making food from scratch, spending time with her dog Cielo and her husband.

Raising a child takes a village, but not everyone has one or the ability to buy the next best thing unfortunately. Little Gifts prides itself on being the village for families that need the extra support on every step of the journey from birth, labor and postpartum. Because we know not everyone can afford our services, our passionate doulas have volunteered their time for us to offer our “Doula for a Day / Night” postpartum care or “Just Show Up” birth services to 2 lucky mom every month for FREE!
